Urban Landscapes

I once applied to this website that networks models, photographers, set designers, make-up artists, and perverts. I was rejected because the site "has no place for the use of landscapes." I won't lie: My feelings were actually hurt by this rejection of what I consider to be just one of my talents. I was also offended by the insinuation that models placed in artificial settings, were more interesting than landscapes, where models are unnecessary in adding to the focus of a picture and real people take their unknowing place.

Once I got off my high horse and realized that in admitting me, the website would actually be ignoring its entire purpose, I started up this little project you see here: my Photo Blog!

Every now and then Boston reminds me of why I actually enjoy living here, and that's a comfort I can only find within the landscape...

The Minimalizm That Was New York

So I tried to do something where I tell a series of stories no matter which way you scroll my page. Obviously my stories are not verbal but instead visual, as I have replaced my emotional medium for the moment with images rather than words. I attempt to depict the movement of thoughts, people, and time with this series. I hope you like it!

Intro to Kendar Photography

Hello! I'm Kendar Photography, but some of you may know me as an American citizen by many other names. After spending my whole life considering myself an amateur, I've recently noticed that I'm not that bad at capturing moments, fragments, even slivers of humanity in the craziest of places. That's why I love photography and exactly why I'm still learning. It's my goal to make the boring interesting, more so, intriguing. I hope I do my work justice.

With Spring just around the corner, I can't wait to bring in the lusciously warm weather with a few ice cold daiquiris and fresh lens focused at the city; the city that has become so dingy these past five or six months with all this winter nonsense that I've slowly begun to hate it. Sure I've always hated it, but it's easier to hate when it's so goddamn cold!

On this page you will find recent updates, photos, event postings, projects, job postings, and more fragments of what I consider myself. Check back often to stay current and don't forget to comment, comment, comment!!!!

PROJECT 1::: Any "models" that can breakdance, BBOY, crunk, etc. I AM LOOKING FOR YOU! I want to take high fashion photos of underground dancers in the middle of the city. If you or someone you know may be interested, please contact me. As soon as the weather warms up to 65 degrees or so, I wanna begin shooting. Hoping to exhibit the work in the Winter of 2008/2009.
